Invisible burden: good reasons to get rid of PBT chemicals

Of the thousands of chemicals on the market, chemicals which are persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic (PBT) pose particularly unacceptable risks to wildlife and people. The EU is currently reviewing the criteria for these so-called (PBT) chemicals within the EU chemicals law, REACH.

The brochure "Invisible burden - Good reasons to get rid of PBT chemicals" was developed in collaboration with CHEM Trust and HEAL (Health and Environment Alliance). It gives an overview of why PBT chemicals are a cause of concern, what EU decision makers should do and how consumers can reduce their exposure.
