Guiding Principles
Three of WWF's most important guiding principles for our corporate engagement are:
Transparency – Our business engagement goes to the core of our mission and our partner’s business. Making sure who we work with, how we work with them and on what we are working on ensures that WWF stays objective, thorough and credible. Setting measurable results reinforces the transparency we have with our partners.
Measurable results – The partnerships we have with businesses are long term. They must be, because the results we aim for are not ‘quick fixes’ but long term, strategic changes to sector and global environmental agendas. By working with our partners on publically available targets and goals, we remain credible and are able to focus on what we want to deliver – transformative and sustained change at scale.
Mutual right to disagree – WWF recognizes that we will not agree on all things, all the time with our partners. Agreeing to disagree in the context of a transparent framework is a key factor to sustaining credible and mutually beneficial partnerships.
