Tetra Pak® became a partner to Climate Savers in 2006 and over a 5 year period it has achieved an accumulated saving of 388 000 tonnes of CO2 through energy efficiency and using renewable energy in its own operations.
The company launched a new 2020 climate goal in 2011 which covers the entire value chain (scope 1, 2 & 3). The new goal aims to cap climate impact by 2020 to 2010 levels, despite business growth.
As of April 2013, WWF and Tetra Pak are in the process of defining a new set of commitments for the company to fulfil its second term as a WWF Climate Savers partner company.
