With support from Norad through WWF Norway, WWF Kenya has since 2011 implemented a project focused on strengthening Environmental Civil Society engagement in order to achieve improved natural resource governance in Kenya. The project works with environmental Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) including Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs), associations, as well as civil society networks, forums and alliances that are involved in building the capacities of local communities; advocating for policy change and for people’s rights over land and natural resources; championing for better environmental management practices; and equity in benefit sharing of resource exploitation in Kenya. This document showcases some of these organizations and the work they are doing.
