White Paper: A comparative analysis of land use options within Intact Forest Landscapes: how can FSC make a difference?

Posted on 29 August 2018

WWF has published a new White Paper to help develop regional approaches to protect and manage intact Forest landscapes (IFL). The paper offers recommendations on how comparative analyses of alternative land use options for IFL located within FSC-certified forest management units (FMU) could be conducted, highlighting two concrete case studies (Russia and Guatemala) that demonstrate this approach. It concludes that FSC can greatly assist stakeholders and standard-setting groups to conduct regional comparative analyses of land use options by offering sound guidance and assistance.
