Things you should know...

WWF recruits volunteers & interns aged 20 to 27 for work in Africa, Asia & Latin America, as well as at WWF International in Gland, Switzerland. For Madagascar, Senegal & Cameroon placements, it is essential that you have a good level of French. Likewise, Spanish is required for Latin America. Even if you only have English, please fill in the form so we can take your application into consideration when other places become available (e.g. in India, South Pacific, Bhutan).

CAMEROON

6-month volunteer placement with WWF Cameroon's Communications Programme. Seeking candidates who are bi-lingual French & English with strong communications skills. Experience in Africa and in developing a communications strategy would be an advantage. Activities would include

  • Support development new country communications strategy
  • Liaise with field communications officers to centralise/coordinate communications leadership in Cameroon
  • Support Green Heart of Africa team with development and implementation of communications strategy
  • Update Cameroon section on WWF website
  • Train staff on use of social media (twitter, facebook, Youtube etc) as a communications tool

    The community based organizations around Manambolomaty and complex mangroves area in Tsiribihina mangroves in western Madagascar are empowered to improve the life conditions of local communities while sustainably managing the natural resources.
