Green tools | WWF

These are a selection of online tools that make it easier for you to make decisions that will lighten your ecological footprint.

A travel search engine that includes CO2 emissions

routeRANK is a travel search engine which addresses the entire travel route by integrating rail, road and air connections. What makes this tool unique is that it provides you with information to optimize your trip according to what is important to you and allows you to explicitly consider the environmental footprint of your trip, and to offset your CO2 emissions.

We use routeRANK to power the
WWF Travel Helper.

An app for sustainable seafood

The Monterey Bay Aquarium has an app that helps you make decisions the next time your are purchasing seafood. Given the current pressures on fish and other marine life from bycatch, overfisihing and habitat loss it is very important to know if what you are consuming was fished sustainably.

WWF also has downloadable seafood guides available for a number of different regions.
