Member countries of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) still massively support coal abroad - with $ 5,1 billion a year in the period 2007-2013 - although several claim to be climate leaders.

All OECD countries  must immediately and publicly end their overseas coal financing - including through Multilateral Development Banks they are part of and through their national Export Credit Agencies.*

Climate science requires urgent action: the immediate priority is to stop supporting the most polluting fossil fuel – coal – and shift support towards renewable energy and energy savings.
