African Group countries

AOSIS
Alliance of Small Island States, 43 members. Most are also members of the G77

EIG
Environmental Integrity Group: a newer grouping, that includes Mexico, Switzerland, and South Korea

EU
European Union: the 27 countries of the EU, led by the rotating presidency

G77 & China
A bloc of developing countries that actually has over 130 members

LDCs
Least Developed Countries: 48 countries, recognized by the UN as being those with the lowest development

OPEC
Tthe cartel of oil-producing nations

UG
Umbrella Group: an informal loose coalition of non-EU developed countries, including Australia, Canada, Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, the Russian Federation, Ukraine and the US.
