WWF has an opening through its Youth Volunteer Internship Programme for an intern in Human Resources for a 6-month assignment with WWF International. The candidate has to have a valid permit to work in Switzerland.

Location: WWF International (based in Gland, Switzerland)
Assignment dates: as soon as possible for 6 months (part time is possible)
Language required: good level of French & English
Age Category: 23 - 28  years
  1. Mission of the Department:

  • To advise and support leaders in creating a culture of collaboration, innovation and results focus in WWF;

  1. Major Functions:
 
To support the Talent Acquisition team in recruitment logistics and relocation administration (advertising, coordinating with panels, search firms, checking invoices) etc. to ensure consistency in process and to provide timely and professional services to our internal clients and key stakeholders. Support all recruitment and relocation logistics and administration; to ensure that the Talent Acquisition function is viewed as a center of excellence.
 
 
  1. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Create and update job advertisements, and administer the internal job platform and other external job posting platforms;
  • Coordinates recruitment logistics (interview panel, schedule, invitations and recruitment pack to candidates);
  • Administrate and ensure timely support, as required, for hiring approvals, job description files and recruitment lists.
  • Liaise with candidates and support candidate responses/ travel/ expenses/ relocation;
  • Respond to general enquiries on recruitments and to incoming spontaneous applications;
  • Support administration of social media recruitment channels, as and if required (Twitter & Facebook, Xing & Blog);
  • Support employees relocating, applying and  administering the relocation policy, responding to queries, checking invoices/expenses etc. including occasionally liaising with the relocation services provider;
  • Assist with ad hoc day to day HR functions as required, in consultation with the Head, People & Culture Shared Services.
 
 
  1. Profile:
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Commercial diploma;
  • 3-5 years’ experience working in an administrative capacity in a complex global environment with multiple stakeholders - ideally within a HR or Recruitment function.
 
Required Skills and Competencies:
 
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Strong customer focus;
  • Team player and ability to take initiative;
  • Diplomacy and ability to deal with a variety of situations and confidential issues;
  •   Ability to build relationships and foster effective communication; both orally and in writing;
  • Knowledge of social media tools, online learning tools;
  • Attention to detail and basic Excel skills.
  • Fluent English, other languages advantageous
  •   Interest in conservation and WWF's work;
  •   Clearly demonstrates behaviours aligned to the culture of WWF: Strive for Impact, Listen   Deeply, Collaborate Openly and Innovate Fearlessly.
 
  1. Working Relationships:
 
Internal - Works closely with both the WWF International and Network HR teams as well as staff at all levels.  Responds/delegates as appropriate, to queries coming from other WWF International staff.
 
External - Interacts with candidates, partners and visitors, as required, in fulfilment of duties.
