WWF’s 24 Asia Pacific offices have all come together to implement a regional growth strategy towards the vision “There is no sustainable world, without a sustainable Asia Pacific”. At the center of the growth strategy is a lean coordination team – the Asia Pacific Growth Strategy Core Team – that is spread out across several WWF offices in the region.
As the Information and Knowledge Coordinator for the Asia Pacific Growth Strategy Core Team, the job holder is accountable for the timeliness and quality of information made available to the marketing teams in the region and to other APGS stakeholders. The position is also responsible for providing administrative and operational support to deliver the Asia Pacific Growth Strategy.
Key accountabilities including but not limited to:
This position is on part time basis (0.3 FTE, 1.5 days per week) on a 2-year contract basis. The renewal / extension of appointment will be subject to organizational needs, availability of funding and job performance.
- Oversee the formal communications from the APGS to its key stakeholders
- To coordinate with other WWF knowledge managers/internal comms teams on appropriate platforms/practices to use for key audiences
- Responsible for production and distribution the monthly APGS e-News to your Desktop, Quarterly newsletter and annual report, seeking input from contributors with the APGT and other sources
- Ensure that the APGT work site is updated and relevant to users, towards improving usage of resources available on the site
- In partnership with the Core Team members, to prepare the agendas, collate the relevant documents, minute and record all pertinent meetings, in particular the
- Monthly Shareholder Executive Team calls
- Quarterly CEO’s calls
- Monthly Marketing Directors calls
- In consultation with the APGS core team members, assist in the design and delivery of the following meetings, providing comms support for
- the annual regional CEO and Chairs conference
- any sector specific capacity building workshops
- Support staff secondments: To document secondments/staff exchanges of marketing/fundraising team members in AP offices, capture/share lessons, and support head of ops on monitoring required for secondments.
- Provide overall administrative assistance as required.
What you need:
Required Skills and Competencies:
- University degree in marketing/communications/English preferable
- Excellent English writing skills
- At least 3 years of communications programme experience, preferable if in a marketing support capacity, experience in the NGO sector will be an advantage
- Strong numerical proficiency as job requires writing newsletters, case studies and reports that feature financial performance
- Comfortable using mailchimp and google sites/google docs
- Highly organized and with excellent coordination skills, able to proactively identify and organize resources to support team members
- Track record of working in a multi-cultural environment, sensitive to cultural differences
- Effective interpersonal skills, able to develop and maintain relationships in a virtual work environment
- Solutions-oriented, with attention to detail
- A flexible attitude to work yet self-disciplined
