WWF Azerbaijan seeks a consultant to prepare a sustainable range management plan

Within the framework of the project “Increasing Biodiversity in a Priority Transboundary Protected Area in the Iori Mingechaur Region”, WWF-Azerbaijan intends to award a consultancy contract for conducting assessments of pasturelands and preparation of a range management plan for about 30,000 ha of Gakh Protected Area (Sanctuary) and surrounding territory (Gakh and Sheki districts, Azerbaijan).
The project is financially supported by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with co-funding from WWF-Germany. It aims to improve ecosystem biodiversity in a trans-boundary Priority Conservation Area, Iori-Mingechaur, through floodplain forest rehabilitation, improved Protected Area and pasture land management and through reintroduction of the locally extinct Goitered Gazelle.
The assignment should be completed and final draft of the management plan should be submitted before 31 March 2014. Exact budget for the assignment will be calculated according to the volumes of workplan activities, logistical details and on the basis of experience and qualifications of the selected expert.
Terms of Reference, including qualification requirements for the consultant are attached. The deadline for submission of CVs is within three calendar weeks of the date of uploading this announcement. The CVs should be submitted in English language by post, fax or email to the address indicated below.
After the evaluation of CVs, the successful candidate will ne notified immediately, in order to start contract negotiation process. Interviews might be conducted, if necessary.
