WWF-Caucasus Programme Office seeks a consultant to prepare sustainable pasture land management plan

 Within the framework of the project “Increasing Biodiversity in a Priority Transboundary Protected Area in the Iori Mingechaur Region”, WWF-Caucasus Programme Office intends to award a consultancy contract for conducting legal assessment and preparing a sustainable, innovative management plan for about 5,000 ha of pasture land surrounding Chachuna Sanctuary (Dedoplistskaro Municipality, Georgia).
The project is financially supported by German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) with co-funding from WWF-Germany. It aims to improve ecosystem biodiversity in a trans-boundary Priority Conservation Area, Iori-Mingechaur, through floodplain forest rehabilitation, improved Protected Area and pasture land management and through reintroduction of the locally extinct Goitered Gazelle.
The duration of the consultancy is 55 working days within the period November 2012 - December 2013. Terms of Reference, including qualification requirements for the consultant are attached. The deadline for submission of CVs is 15 November 2012. The submission of cost estimates is optional at this stage. The CVs should be submitted in English language by post, fax or email before the deadline. After the evaluation of CVs, the successful candidate will ne notified immediately, in order to start contract negotiation process as soon as possible. Interviews might be conducted, if necessary.
